Dog Grooming & Cat Grooming

Here at Fon Jon Pet Care San Diego, we know the importance of pet cleanliness, and we also know that grooming your pet yourself isn’t always easy. This is why we have a full-time pet groomer on staff who is here to provide all of your dog grooming or cat grooming needs, such as bathing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, brushing, and de-shedding. Whether your pet just needs a basic bath or a full spa day of treatment, we’re here to provide it for you!

While we do accept walk-in grooming appointments, making an appointment ahead of time is preferred. Dog grooming or cat grooming services can also be added to any dog boarding, cat boarding, or dog daycare reservation. We like to recommend pet grooming on the last day of pet boarding to ensure your camper comes home clean.

Please note that all prices are just a base price. Price may change based on the camper’s coat condition, mats, etc.

Services Offered

Basic Bath: A refreshing wash using shampoo, followed by a thorough blow-dry, and finished off with a light spritz of cologne to leave your pet smelling great.

Deluxe Bath: An indulgent bathing experience starting with a shampoo, enhanced by a conditioner for a silky coat. After a blow-dry, pets receive a spritz of cologne, an ear cleaning, a nail trim, and brushout for complete pampering.

Nail Trim: A professional trimming of your pet’s nails to a comfortable length.

Ear Cleaning: A gentle cleaning of the pet’s ears to remove dirt, debris, and wax, helping to maintain ear health.

Gland Expression: Applying gentle pressure on the anal glands from the outside, to release anything loose from the sacs that your pet can’t get.

Paw Trims: Trimming of the fur around the paws, to keep them clean and free from any obstructions or potential irritants.

Sani Shave: A trimming of the fur around the pet’s sanitary areas, improving cleanliness and hygiene.

Teeth Cleaning: A thorough cleaning of your pet’s teeth to reduce plaque and tartar, promoting oral health and fresh breath.

Furminator: A specialized grooming tool and process that efficiently removes loose fur and reduces shedding, leaving your pet’s coat looking healthier and more vibrant.

De-skunking: A treatment designed to neutralize and remove the pungent odor left behind by a skunk encounter, restoring your pet’s natural pleasant scent.

Policies And Procedures

Pets can be denied if they were notified of an expired vaccine and are unable to provide an updated vaccination sheet.

DOGS MUST BE LEASHED DURING DROP OFF AND PICKUP

Owners will need to take their leashes, collars, harness with them, Fon Jon is not responsible for the dogs equipment.

Fon Jon’s is the best!  Our German Shepherd mix, Chika, loves the staff and comes home exhausted after daycare (which is great for us!). Their boarding and grooming are also amazing – Chika smells so good after her baths. We expect to board our dogs here over the holidays and are confident our dogs will be well taken care of and loved on.  Both of our dogs have been trained through Man K-9 at Fon Jon’s for an unbeatable experience at a fair price.  Thanks, Fon Jon’s!!

  5. Wonderful training for your dog – Socializing your dog so it learns positive doggie behaviors is extremely important. For the cost of day care, your dog not only has fun, but learns how to interact with other dogs properly.
  6. Its all about the dogs – Large yard to run and play, frosty paw treats that you can purchase, play dates with doggie friends. The business caters to their clients – the dogs! And they do a great job.
