Fon Jon Pet Care & Man K9 is a home away from home for my 9 month old lab Bowie. I brought Bowie to Man K9 as soon as he was old enough to start training. We worked with Ricky who is the most patient and wonderful trainer. I travel frequently and knowing that Bowie loved his time training made boarding at Fon Jon a natural fit. Anthony and team are so awesome. I know I can always call and check in. Bowie comes home a happy dog every time! Thank you🐾😊

Fon Jon’s Pet Care and K9 Training is an absolute dream! Being a new dog mom was initially overwhelming, but discovering Fon Jon’s changed everything. Dropping off Frank is completely stress-free (even for a helicopter mom like me lol)


The team at Fon Jon has palpable love and genuine care for every dog that walks through their doors. It’s clear that the entire team not only loves their job but also has a deep affection for the dogs in their care. Everyone immediately knew Frank by name and even helped me get gum out from between his toes!! I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have found such a dedicated and caring place for Frank. Leaving him in their care feels like I’m leaving him with family (who happen to be dog experts!)


Frank absolutely adores going to Fon Jon’s. Every time I pick him up, he’s happily tired out from all the fun and activity. It’s truly heartwarming to see how much he enjoys his time there.

We absolutely love this doggy daycare! We have the monthly pass for our dog, Hank, and it is so worth it. They make the process so easy during drop off/pick up, and Hank is always excited when we pull into the parking lot and sees anyone on the amazing staff. We also board Hank here and take advantage of their grooming services. Highly, highly recommend this wonderful pet care center.

This review is long overdue, but I just want to thank everyone at Fon Jon for so many years of making my pup’s day!! We’ve been coming for a few years now and I have nothing but good things to say about how much the staff loves what they do. My dog loves this place more than home sometimes it feels like. My #1 recommendation for anyone who needs daycare or boarding in San Diego!

Highly recommend this place for training your dogs! Manuel & Fon are great at what they do & truly understand dogs! Especially high drive dogs that need a little extra challenge to be the “bestest dog” in our family pack! Our young pup get so excited to do training when we get the parking lot she can’t wait to get out of the car and start!

I have been taking my fur babies to Fon Jon for over 17 years and there is no one else I trust with them. The staff is so wonderful and not only really care/love/understand the pups but also me and my life. I have recommended Fon Jon to many friends, who also love it there. I work from home and need to travel sometimes, so my pups go to daycare to play every day and are boarded there when I need to be out of town. Thank you Fon Jon for everything you do!

What an absolutely wonderful experience I and boarding my two cats, George and Ollie! I was super nervous about boarding them, as I have never done before. The staff went over the top, not only to make me feel comfortable with my boys there, but took such great care of the. I would highly recommend Fon Jon. I am a bomb dog handler and have now boarded 2 of my certified Explosives Detection K9s here. Because the dogs are my work partners, it’s especially hard to trust their care to anyone, however I have had great experiences here. The manager Anthony is fantastic and in an age where customer service seems almond non-existent, he is a great example of how to run a business. I am so grateful to have found Fon Jon when I’m visiting the area and need a safe place for my dogs overnight. When I pick up my dogs, they seem relaxed and happy.

I don’t trust my fur babies with anybody else. I found Fon Jon last September after rescuing my 2 year old, 100 pound American Bulldog, Bruce. I also have a 60 pound American Staffordshire Terrier named Pepper, and they both LOVE Fon Jon Pet Care Center.

Their pricing is fair, and they always do such a good job and take such good care of my dogs. They always come home smelling and looking so clean after their “spa day”. Thanks Fon Jon!!

Fon Jon Pet Care is wonderful. The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and caring. I have confidence that my dogs will have the best care which makes it easier for me to leave them. The staff follows my instructions for the special diet my dogs are on and welcome my occasional phone calls to check in on them. I’ve also taken them for training and the trainers are very easy to work with and have an abundance of experience. My dogs are in good spirits when I pick them up, and I can tell they have been well cared for. I highly recommend Fon Jon Petcare for boarding training and grooming.

My dog loves daycare at Fon Jon’s– she is always super excited when we pull up and comes home exhausted! The staff are super friendly and you can tell how much they truly care about/love the pups (plus I love that they post pictures of playtime). The pickup and dropoff process is efficient and easy, and honestly they have the best prices I have found in the area…$30 for 12+ hours of play is unheard of in San Diego! We definitely plan to stay coming to Fon Jon’s as long as we are living in here 😀

We LOVE Fon Jon’s!!! This review is overdue, as I’ve been bringing my poodle here for daycare almost 5 years now, and He Always leaves happy and a good tired from the stimulation of playing with his friends! Fon Jons staff is so professional and friendly. Ricky, Tony, Laura, George, Anthony, Delora and whole staff and family are truly the best! I can really trust them with caring for my dog. The property is meticulously clean! Their rates are reasonable. We’ve also done training too! And it was so helpful. Me and my dog learned so much. I can’t recommend this place more. They are the longest and most established Pet training and boarding facility in San Diego too, And it shows . Look no further

My dog has gone to daycare, training with k9 and grooming and boarding!! I absolutely love dropping my dog off there, the staff is so sweet and always make my dog feel welcomed even from greeting us when we get there !! I typically do full days of day care and some maintenance training and I think it’s fully worth the money and he loves spending time there and Ricky the k9 trainer is awesome!! My dog midknight responded so well to his training and every-time I pick him up he’s wiped!!

We’ve been taking our shiba to Fon Jon since he was a pup! He’s very picky about people and he loves everyone who works there, which is amazing. They know his name and he is always excited when our car pulls up to the parking lot. We use Fon Jon for daycare, boarding, and baths and our dog is always well taken-care of. Definitely recommend to anyone looking with dog care needs.

The staff is always happy to see all the animals that come thru. While I haven’t had a dog trained her I’ve seen first hand great dogs from here. They took great care of my dog for her bath. Clean facility and I love the dog food the sale here.

Best Pet Care in San Diego! Our very anxious dog loves going to play here and we board her with no issues at all! Staff are amazing and love animals and you can tell they love their job as well. So many options to best suite your dog or cat! So grateful that they have bathing and grooming options too! Highly recommend Fon Jon’s!

My dog has been an unlimited day care passholder at Fon Jon since Jan 2022. It’s unbelievably convenient. The drop off and pick up process only takes a few minutes and the hours are great. I drop my fur baby off on the way to work and then pick him up each day. The staff is friendly and you can tell that they are all animal lovers. My dog has never gotten sick as a result of his time there which I can’t say for other daycare/boarding facilities. I highly recommend Fon Jon!
