FIRST ANNUAL K-9 TRIALS TO TAKE PLACE IN OCEANSIDE Oceanside dog lovers will be thrilled to note that the first annual K-9 Trials will be taking place on April 22, 2017 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at El Camino High School in Oceanside. K-9 teams from the western U.S. will compete in a showdown that will end with the crowning of the Top Dog. K-9 trials Along with the trials, a Public Safety Fair is planned. The Safety Fair allows residents to interact with police officers and firefighters. Residents can see safety equipment displays, interact with safety professionals and even learn more about pursuing a career in public safety. Food trucks will be on site so the entire family can enjoy a day learning about safety. Admission is free for all events. Fon Jon Pet Care and Oceanside Pet Hotel owner, Manuel Villanueva, will serve as Trial Master at the inaugural event. Said Villanueva, 'I'm very excited to have the opportunity to serve as Trial Master at the First Annual K-9 Trial / Public Safety Fair. I'm honored to be able to share my input and experience at this great event.' Villanueva is uniquely qualified to serve as Trial Master as he has provided dog training services for police units and private owners for more than three decades.
